2021 marked a significant milestone for Anderol as we celebrated 80 years in business. Reaching the company’s 80th anniversary has given us an opportunity to reflect on our rich heritage and celebrate new beginnings through our recent rebranding with parent company LANXESS. The changes to our new branding became ever more visible at the start of the year as the old Anderol packaging was phased out with stock clearance, the new packaging introduced, and new signage proudly installed at our head office. A visually powerful compressor campaign with elements of screw compressors, vane compressors and reciprocating compressors was also developed in line with the new corporate identity.
Thankfully as the year went on, although the team has adapted well to remote working and virtual meetings, we were very pleased to be able to gradually restart travelling and meeting partners face to face again.
Successes in 2021
Anderol has enjoyed many successes throughout the year. These have included the introduction of new products, such as our extreme long-life screw compressor oil, Anderol SYNcom (FG) HiPerf 46. Along with its extreme long-life properties, this lubricant offers low deposit formation, outstanding oxidation and thermal stability, as well as low evaporation, fast water separation and copper and steel protection.

A hazard label free vane/reciprocating compressor and vacuum pump lubricant, Anderol® Syncomp DE HSL 100, was also developed to meet the most demanding safety and performance requirements, while reducing environmental impact. More information can be found here.
Another important anniversary was marked this year as global technical manager, Ingrid Ooms, celebrated her 30th work anniversary with the company. Ingrid joined Anderol in 1991 after graduating from university with a degree in chemical engineering. Starting out in the lab in quality control, Ingrid quickly moved into a technical support role followed by product development where she continues to work today, developing new products and providing crucial technical support and advice to distributors, customers and OEMs around the world.
