2020 recap: The covid-19 storm and beyond

We started 2020 energised and excited for the year ahead. We prepared to launch our new food-grade lubricants campaign and looked forward to welcoming Maurice Sonntag to the team as global sales manager. Maurice was, like many of our colleagues, ready to travel to meet our partners all over the world.

But, no one could have foreseen what was to come and by March large parts of Europe and the rest of the world were in ‘lockdown’ as Covid-19 took hold. Since then all of us have faced unprecedented challenges. It has been a difficult time for the lubricants industry (like many industries). And everyone has had to adapt to new ways of working – from home, virtually with online meetings and greetings without a handshake.

As we headed into Summer we worked hard on the rebranding of Anderol and the integration with our parent company LANXESS. From the 2nd of November, our affiliation with LANXESS was formally recognized with the rebranding of Anderol® in line with the LANXESS’ corporate design – an important step forward as we head towards our 80th anniversary. Being a part of LANXESS and its Lubricant Additives Business is further energizing the values that Anderol® has held for 80 years: quality, technical expertise, flexibility and proximity to the customer.

Not only is Christmas a time to reflect, but it’s also a time to be grateful. And more so than ever this year, we are grateful to our hardworking team, loyal customers, global network of dedicated distributors, partners and LANXESS colleagues.
